Howdy all.
My name is Eli and, like many of you, I have a long pedigree in gaming. I began with dice and paper RPGs which introduced me to miniatures. I was lucky enough to grow up in an environment with older gamers both school aged and adult and so this sort of thing was never really looked at as weird.
I cut my teeth in published miniatures games on GW stuff but graduated beyond it as the years went by. While i dabbled in historicals and other fantasy and scifi systems my first concrete exposure to 15mm scifi was with GZG minis and Star Grunt. Through these, I could see what could be accomplished with a gritty, solid vision and some well made figures.
I am a kitbashers, scratchbuilder, rules tinkerer, and universe builder. I love building and converting and recently (two years ago) started sculpting. I am no pro at this yet, but I have managed to get a few, relatively well-received figures out into the universe.
My latest delusion of grandeur is Loud Ninja Games - my own miniatures label. Loud ninja is not a company sculpted by my, but more produced by me. Like Keith, I too have come up with designs and sought out talent elsewhere to bring it to life.
This has been a bit of a bittersweet endeavor. I pioneered one of the first 15mm miniatures Kickstarters just as miniatures were really starting to hit Kickstarter. I had to follow in the footsteps of REaper's BONES, Dreadball and other big label names using Kickstarter. This experience has taught me a lot about what to do, what not to do and I think that when it's all over and done, I'll be much stronger for it.
Anyhow...I could go on forever, but enough about me.
Thanks for having me,
-Eli
